Kate at Busted Plumbing brought a new meme to my attention. This is the first week for the Saturday Snap Cup meme.
As The CEO puts it Saturday Snap-Cup is your chance to share a story of appreciation with your readers. Being positive one day a week instead of venting about how hard it is to sip coffee and gab with my girlfriends while our kids wreck whomevers house we are at be a mom is the least I can do! Share whatever you’d like–send a *SNAP* to your newest follower or favorite blogger, a *SNAP* to a stranger who gave you a compliment that made your day, a *SNAP* to a new lipgloss that makes you feel like a rock star, or even send a *SNAP* to your kids by sharing a picture of something they did that put a smile on your face!

This week I’d like to send a *SNAP* to my OB for including the kids in the appointment this week when we took them. They had a blast and are still talking about how great it was to get to help and to hear the heart beat. I love that rather than just letting them hear the heartbeat when she put the doppler up to my belly, they each got to do something with the appointment – Gamer with the doppler and Duckling with measuring me. She made all our days with that one move, and made the kids extremely glad they’d gone with us rather than them and Johnny staying at home so they didn’t have to do a long car ride. We didn’t even get complaints in the car, other than one question of how long it would take to get there, and we didn’t get any on the way home at all.

If you’d like to join us with this feel free to head over to

From Katie

1. If your doctor told you TODAY that you were pregnant, what would you say?
I’d be concerned due to having taken Excedrin Migraine this morning, but otherwise I’d be delighted!

2. Do you trust all of your friends?
Sometimes I really have to work my way past a lot of suspicions due to my divorce and all the mind games that happened before and during, but if I call someone a friend I do trust them, even if I don’t tell them every detail of my life. I have acquaintances who I don’t know well enough to trust, but like I said, actual friends are people I trust.

3. Would you move to another state or country to be with the one you love?
Been there, done that, still live in said other state with said love. 😀 ❤

Probably lol!

6. Which one of your friends do you think would make the best doctor?
I don't know…..

7. Are you afraid of falling in love?
Ummmm … am in love… So I'm really not sure how to answer this…. If something happened between Johnny and I, I think I'd be pretty scared to go back to love….

8. Is there someone who pops into your mind at random times?
LOL Yes! 🙂

9. What’s your favorite scar?
Hmmm…. favorite? I know several scars I'm not afraid to show off or talk about, not sure I have favorites though. There's one above my right knee from when I ran into a barbed wire fence one night at a camp. There's the one right by the inner elbow on my left arm from Mischief pushing off my arm when we lived in the motor home after moving here. I have one on my upper left arm where I pulled a baking sheet out onto it and didn't realize it was resting there one night while working at the nursing home. Then there are my 5 surgery scars for my endo… my mom tried to convince me to use Vit E on them when they were still fresh so they could heal up and not scar as bad, but I've left them because they are my battle scars… they are what I have to show for this war I've been fighting for 10 years or so (though only had help with the last 4)…

10. When was the last time you flew in a plane?

49. If you could have one thing right now what would it be?
I'm not sure….

50. Would you rather have ten kids, or none?

Working on this thing…..

So Sonja interviewed me and I’m now getting around to answering her questions and posting them.

1. What’s your favorite game? Hmm… Console Video Game – Star Wars Legos, Computer Video Game – World of Warcraft, Card game – Shanghai (I’m not sure what other names it goes by), Board game – Clue

2. If you could meet any famous dead person, who would it be, and why? Hmmm…. anyone who is famous and dead… There are so many different people I could put here for many different reasons. I’m not quite sure who I want to put… so this could end up being the hardest question of the interview. I’m almost tempted to ask how you define famous lol… Nationally known, world known, locally famous? I’m having that hard of an idea coming up with someone right now….
Helen Keller I suppose. To know how she found the strength every day to deal with her disabilities, to know how she dealt with her life, and just to get to know her. She was one of the people who really interested me as a child.

3. What’s your favorite book? Favorite book of all time… hmmm… I think Little Women may have to go here…. My poor copy of it is so damaged.. It got wet one winter when I was reading it, so the neighbor who took care of us at the time put it in the oven for a bit to help it dry out, which cracked the binding lol… I think it’s 3 different pieces now.

4. If you were a cat, would you be a lap cat or more on your own? Would you like to go outside? Dry or wet food? Would you try catnip? A lap cat because I love cuddles… and most definitely an inside kitty, though I may occasionally venture out side. As far as food, whatever tastes good to me lol… probably wet. I might be willing to try catnip, I suppose it would depend on how it was presented to me (sprayed on a toy, the plant itself, inside of a toy, etc.)….

5. Do you believe in aliens? I believe in the supernatural… whether that includes aliens or not I’m not really sure.

If you’d like me to interview you… leave me a comment and ask! 😀

So Foxy tagged me to share 6 things that make me smile….

1) E – He can almost always succeed at making my smile, even when I’m annoyed with him. E is an incredible (though far from perfect) man, I wish I knew how to express the feelings I have for him.  He knows how to make me laugh through my tears, my pain, my annoyance… I just hope I’m even half as good at doing so for him as he is for me.  We’ve had some pretty good jokes over the last few years since we met.  One story I must share…. on his last weekend (Monday and Tuesday last week) we were watching a movie and it was set back in … I think it was the 50’s… though I could be wrong.  Anyway, there was one point where this male singer got on stage, and the women in the room did that whole sigh thing that women supposedly do when someone famous who they are attracted to comes into view…. well a minute or so later I exaggerated their sigh so much it got E laughing really hard.  We went back and forth through the movie (a couple times) doing stuff to make each other laugh while watching it, because some things it was just like… who actually does this stuff?  It was very nice to be laughing.

2) M – my cat can be a real pain at times, he’s very mischievous at times, but he knows when I’m hurting or upset and he will come over and start cuddling me and licking me and such.  When I’m at my computer he’ll come sit on my lap and (although it can be irritating if I’m trying to do something “important” he’ll get between my keyboard and I, or my mouse and I, and just demand attention.  One of my favorite things though, is how he’ll lay on my chest when I’m on my back… he covers me… he’s a big cat and I’m not a big … woman (am I really a woman?  I feel like a little girl too often, and not in a good way), so it’s like having a warm, fuzzy blanket on my chest.  He’ll lay there and push his head into my hands, and start licking my chin or whatever he can reach to show me he loves me too (or give me a bath – not sure which) 😛

3) Talking to and having a relationship with my mom.  We still don’t have a great relationship, but we actually talk anywhere between every few days to once a week or so.  I enjoy getting to talk to her when I do.

4) Family – even though I have done things that have hurt my family, and they have done things that have hurt me, and even though we don’t have the best communication at all times… my family makes me smile.  I have a photo directory on my computer that is only family members…. when I start feeling too down, or missing them too much (I’m in a completely different time zone from them, and at least a couple states from everyone who isn’t a great aunt or a second cousin or further removed) I look through that folder, and think about the good times.  And sometimes even the not so good times, because I feel so blessed to have been able to have the time with them in person that I have, and I feel so grateful that they are still involved in my life as much as they are (some are much more involved than others.)

5) My little town… well…. little city?  It’s bigger than a town, but it’s not huge.  I complain at times, especially about the lack of opportunity for school or work… there is a school locally, but it’s a bit more of a distance than I desire to do in the snow, and not all of the classes I’d need for general ed are available… I’d have to go to the college it’s connected to (an hour away on a good weather and traffic day) to get the other classes… and with the snow that’s just not a possibility, even if we could afford the gas, tires and brakes (there are some decent sized grades to go up and down, and it’s a distance from us)…. so those are my frustrations here.  But I love it, I love that even though it’s not completely tiny, you can still get that tiny town feel.  Especially in the part of town we live in…. We’re not far from main street, and this part of main street still has a lot of old shops and such in it, and it’s just cozy feeling.  We even have an ice cream parlor just… well in normal city blocks it’s just like 3 blocks or so from us… though if you go by streets, and the blocks that we have… it’s 10 blocks up lol!  I just love it here, and I like getting to see the old places, and the way it’s mixed with new places.  I definitely like the older looking and feeling part though.

6) My friends, both the old who have stuck with me on this journey called life, even through the painful turns (leaving my ex, the divorce, all my health issues, me moving out of state, etc), and my new ones both here in my town, and those who I have met online.  They are an incredible support system who I take some of for granted, and people who I have connected with in so many amazing ways.  I’m so grateful for them, I just hope they know it, because I’m not the best at showing it or telling them… especially those who I can only contact by phone.

Oh… I almost forgot to tag some friends to do this. Lets see…. Sonja, Eve, and anyone else who would like to do this!
